From Blueprints to Paw Prints: An Architect's Journey to Pet entrepreneurship

Looking back on my career, I dedicated five years to architectural design after graduating in 2019. Despite earning "Outstanding Employee" twice, I couldn't escape the industry's post-pandemic downturn. Workdays stretched into nights, often ending at 11 PM and beginning again by 9:30 AM. The relentless pressure left me feeling disconnected from myself and my passion for life.

A Ray of Light: Cookie and Shadow

Amidst those exhausting days, the companionship of my two adopted cats, Cookie and Shadow, became my sole source of light and comfort. Cookie, a playful tabby cat I adopted during my first year of work, loves to curl up on my lap or next to my pillow, filling my days with joy and laughter. A year later, I brought home Shadow, a gentle tuxedo cat with a calm and loving nature.

Every evening, no matter how drained I was, they greeted me at the door, circling my legs and nuzzling me affectionately. Cookie's playful antics made me laugh, while Shadow's soothing presence reminded me to slow down and savor the moment. Their unconditional love became my anchor in a sea of stress.

Yet, I felt deeply guilty. My demanding schedule left me with little time to spend with them. This guilt led me to reevaluate my life: What kind of future did I want? My cats and personal passions gradually became part of the answer.

From Hobby to Career: Birth of PawPattz

During the 2024 Spring Festival, I stayed alone in Shenzhen, dedicating two weeks to contemplating my future. The more I reflected on my love for cats and passion for design, the clearer my path became. I made the bold decision to resign from my architecture job and transform my interests into a meaningful career.

With five years of cat parenting experience, I realized I could help other pet owners provide better lives for their furry companions. This vision gave birth to PawPattz, a pet e-commerce site designed with care and passion.

The name holds special meaning—the two capital P's represent my cats, Cookie and Shadow, and the logo features their faces as adorable icons. My architectural background proved invaluable: the meticulous attention to detail required in design now guides my product selection, while my expertise helps create an intuitive shopping experience.

Now that PawPattz is officially launched, I can share the quality products that Cookie and Shadow love with cat owners across the country. This venture allows me to combine passion with work, helping every cat live a healthier, happier life.

Ultimate Goal: Creating the World's Best Cat House

As I've immersed myself in the pet product industry, I've noticed a gap that my architectural expertise uniquely positions me to fill. Despite the variety of cat houses on the market, few truly balance functionality and aesthetic appeal.

My vision is to design a cat house that seamlessly integrates into modern interiors while providing cats with a haven for play, rest, and exploration. Using eco-friendly materials and thoughtful layouts, I aim to create a space that meets the needs of both pets and their owners. This project represents the perfect fusion of my professional training and personal passion—a dream I am steadily working toward as PawPattz continues to grow.

My Promise

To every customer who has read my story: thank you for your trust and support. This journey from architect to pet entrepreneur hasn't just changed my career—it's transformed my life. Where I once felt disconnected, I now find purpose and joy in every day. Through PawPattz, I promise to bring the same dedication I gave to architectural design, enriched with the warmth and understanding that comes from being a devoted cat parent. Every product we offer is personally tested and approved by Cookie and Shadow, ensuring real value for you and your furry companions.

As I continue to grow alongside this venture, my mission remains clear: to help create happier, healthier lives for cats and their owners. Together, let's build a community where every cat is cherished and every owner supported. After all, the most beautiful designs aren't just the ones we build—they're the lives we create with our beloved pets.
