My senior dog has arthritis in one leg. We use this on just one hind leg and it’s made a big difference. The fabric is soft, and he doesn't try to chew on it.
Brace arrived today. Thank goodness, I’ll explain. I got the brace adjusted and put in the dog. He didn’t help much he keep going further away. LOL. But I did have a helper, his dad. So got brace on and had the dog walk. Made some adjustments on the brace. He seems to tolerate it, but he also is drooling. So I assume he is nervous. He has gone outside to potty and he walk around, no complaints. Another thing I would like to mention is he lost muscle in the bad leg. I didn’t know, so hopefully this helps him.
My boy had ACL issues, not a complete tear. This has helped him a lot to recover instead of a way too expensive surgery. I don't know that this would help for hips, but it worked for my pup. It is constructed pretty well, and I did not have too many issues. It is not perfect, but it is relatively inexpensive.

We liked this for our dog who has now torn his ACL in both hind legs. We measured him based on the diagram and his harness is quite big. The leg supports are a little awkward but we only use the leg brace parts if he needs the extra support. The handle on harness is an absolute lifesaver as we can use the handle for support and helping to left him in/out of the car. Although our harness is too big, I would recommend this
