Why rear-specific design matters
- Different anatomy requires a different fit — the hock joint on the rear leg sits at a different angle than the pastern on the front leg. A rear-specific brace wraps correctly around the hock, keeping the cord in the right position to trigger the lift reflex with every stride.
- Accurate placement = effective stimulation — if the cord sits off-position, it doesn't trigger the reflex consistently, reducing both the walking benefit and the rehabilitation value.

How to fit
- Wrap the brace around the hock joint on the lower hind leg. Keep the cord loop positioned in front of the leg.
- Secure the straps in order: bottom strap first, then top, then the third strap if present.
- Add the rubber pad to the cord loop at the toe area for extra comfort.
- Position the loop under and around the middle two toes.
- Adjust tension — tighten the cord gradually until your dog lifts the rear paw. If no response, tighten slightly and test again.
Usage tips
- Start with 2–5 minutes on one leg and increase duration gradually as your dog adapts.
- Always supervise during use.
- Remove after each session and air-dry if wet.
